Guests note differences in the condition of specific rooms, with some providing positive feedback on cleanliness and helpful staff. However, concerns about unforgiving parking, thin walls leading to noise complaints, and inconsistent housekeeping significantly lower satisfaction.
They do not plow the parking lot. It has deep holes in it with a LOT of water. Very thick ice & slippery walking from my vehicle to the entrances. The room I was in was nice, but the parking lot was awful.
Nice place. Room was clean. The toilet was to short. Also they should have had their parking lot plowed better. It was dangerous.
We unfortunately booked a two night stay at this hotel. The first room we went into was absolutely disgusting. The headboard was dirty, the couch was stained very badly, there was a big spider in the bathtub, and the toilet wouldn’t flush. The second room we moved to was hardly any better. Everything was stained… the seating area, the bed sheets. There was someone else’s HAIR in the bed and on the pillows. HAIR! Hair all over the bathroom. The walls are paper thin, we could hear people talking loudly in the hallways, and incredibly loud pounding from the floor above. Oh, and good luck parking in their parking lot. I do not recommend staying at this hotel.
It's a get what you pay for kinda place, sorta... the rooms are smaller than I was expecting, they are clean though, aside from the boogers on the wall. The free breakfast was sub par. They ran out of almost everything in a hour and the coffee machine was out of order. The window in our room was like a pneumonia hole. Very drafty, cold air taking over that space and kept the heater running almost all night. Body wash in the shower was empty, the hair dryer was falling off the wall in the bathroom and the ceiling paint was flaking off. I realize they got slammed with slender for a good weekend on the trails, and it was a good weekend on the trails, but it is always good to come back after a long day out exploring the trails to have some comfort. Felt like that was missing a bit here. Will look elsewhere when we come back.
This is a good budget alternative to the cheapest hotels. The beds were firm and the rooms were clean, but aging and tired. The blackout shades helped everyone sleep well. Breakfast was meager and running out or not functioning was the theme. A few sausages, yogurt, muffins, instant hot oatmeal, bagels or cold cereal, and a long line for the one waffle station. The coffee machine was broken down, but there were several tea and hot chocolate options. They honored our request to have two rooms close together. The night attendant was quiet and not suited for customer service. The day attendant was kind and helpful. Overall, OK.
We asked for handicap room. It was so small. Bed on one side was against the wall. No chairs to sit on other than a metal folding chair. No LG mirror to get ready. (We were going to a wedding.) No desk or table. But service was fantastic and was clean.
The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. However, the walls were quite thin, and we could hear loud music from the neighboring room all night, which made it difficult to rest. Breakfast was fine, and the property does offer a pool and gym. Unfortunately, there is no elevator, which was a major inconvenience as we had to carry our ice box and luggage upstairs especially challenging when traveling with elders. Overall, it’s acceptable for a one-night stay but not ideal for longer visits.
This is one of those hotels that's hard to review, because it really depends on who you are and what your needs are that make it break this place. The hotel itself is old and unkept. Sure, it's relatively clean, but filled with aged smells. We walked down the hallway to our room and was completely overcome with the smell marijuana. Not a nice start. We entered our room to discover there's almost no light. Some switches don't operate anything, and there's 2 places it looks like they removed lights. Maybe they didn't want to update the electric. Our bathroom toilet smells and sits very low to the ground. Unless you're a toddler, you're going to have to squat. There's no bag drop drive up area either, so hopefully you find a space close to your room. Staff was nice though. Get a good price before booking here.
The room was dark and it smelled old. The interior room lock was loose and locked me out of the room. It took 20 minutes for the maintenence guy to arrive to cut it off. At this point, I didn't feel secure in the room. I was told this occasionally happens. Why in the heck wouldn't these loose locks be changed out knowing this. I won't stay here again.
I'm really disappointed with my stay this past Monday night. I was charged an extra $100 because my room smelled heavily of smoke when I checked out, but I was only there for seven hours. I literally slept and left. I don't even smoke. So how is it a nonsmoker gets charged for smoking? Sounds fishy to me. Stay at your own risk, apparently this GM likes to slap smoking fees on anyone just because. Most expensive power nap I ever had, I swear. Also, those beds are broken down. Not even comfortable. Edit to Add: After their response here for everyone to see, they have not yet offered a way in which they could make it up. They still have not refunded my money. Their response, so far, is just an attempt to save face while doing nothing to actually address the concern.
