Waters Inn appears to be a convenient and generally positive overnight stop for travelers in the Gaylord, Michigan area, particularly those involved in snowmobiling or other outdoor activities. Guests consistently praise its cleanliness, friendly service, and convenient location near trails, restaurants, and gas stations. However, there are some concerns regarding potential bed size limitations and operational issues.
Great little motel, easy to locate. Clean room. Manager Bob very nice and made check-in easy. We love making this one of our overnight stops as we head north to the UP.
Stayed here for a night before a race at Forbush Corners. Conveniently close to the ski facility, also convenient that it’s across from a restaurant and Dollar General. I stayed in the bear room, and it was clean, cozy, and comfortable for the night. Had everything I needed including a fridge and microwave. The office has snacks and other necessities you may need. Host was very kind, and gave me a lovely little book on the history of Waters to read while I was there. Definitely recommend staying here if you’re in the area.
Nice, cozy and clean rooms. Great value. Convenient location for accessing snowmobile trails. Fuel nearby and good place to eat across the street.
We come up to Gaylord to go snowmobiling and had a blast ,wish we could have stayed longer ..room was ready and clean ..had all the amenities we needed for our lil weekend getaway
We took a spontaneous trip to snowmobile and found this place from reviews. It has been pleasant and I don’t know how someone can give less than 5 stars. It’s just as advertised! Bob was great he said they don’t get a lot of young kids but they are more than welcomed
Great place to stay! Always clean and excellent service! TY!
Pretty basic, but perfect for sledding in the area. Across the street from the trail, and a bar/restaurant/gas station.
Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a quiet and comfortable place to stay. Good friendly service. I was in town for work and had been on the road for awhile. I pulled in and before I knew it, I had a room and was able to relax for the evening.
Warm and cozy. Bathroom is a little tight but functional. Floors are a bit creeky. The room served it’s purpose and I enjoyed my stay, thx Bob
Vacancy sign on, no one answers any of the three phone numbers or the door bell at 10 pm. *An unfortunate review from someone who tried to stay with you during what should have been normal operation hours but you didn't answer any of the door bells or phone numbers so my kid and I slept in my car in your parking lot.
