This Holiday Inn Express consistently receives mixed reviews, exhibiting both positive aspects like cleanliness and friendly staff, alongside significant concerns regarding customer service, room conditions, and unresolved issues like bed bugs and missing valuables. Recent experiences highlight problems with responsiveness, room maintenance, and a frustrating lack of resolution from hotel management.

You would have thought the Front desk lady was disgusting her attitude was like nothing i experienced. The Housekeeper with the long brownish hair and glasses, her scrubs were a different color than the other Housekeepers needs to watch how she treats others, I understand respect your elders but your elders should respect you too. Not to mention I am a paying guest not sure if that even matters at this establishment because it sure did not seem like it.

Excellent location! I don't now where to start with my concerns. Okay 1st of all the elevators was not working. I explained to the front desk associate that I had hand surgery the day before and I couldn't carry my luggage up stairs. Therefore I requested to be moved to the 1st floor. He said that he couldn't change my room. The associate could have offered to help with my luggage but didn't offer any assistance. Number 2 my room had a chaise sofa which have stains of food or some other substance. Number 3 my room entry door looks as if was sprung there is a large gap between the locking mechanism and the door jam. Which could make your guest feel unsafe!

This hotel ruined my families entire trip up north. We found BED BUGS crawling all over the pillow!!! Disgusting! It all started with my daughter saying “eww, I’m not sleeping here, there is a bug!” I went over there and the bug was so big, it had obviously been a problem for a while. I caught it in a hotel cup and told my husband to pack up. By this time I had seen several bugs in the same pillow. I took the bug to the front desk and said we have a huge problem. The front desk guy took the cup and called a manager. I believe this manager eventually was the person that came in about a half hour later as we waiting in the lounge. They never spoke to me. I saw them talk about the room and he headed up to look. Their solution was to pay for us to stay in a different hotel. The only vacancy was an hour and half away. The immeasurable inconvenience this caused us and not once did the management team reach out to me to apologize or discuss the issue. I had to drive almost an hour and half away in the fog, AT MIDNIGHT! I have asked and asked for an incident report. The response I get is nothing. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone!

My experience at this hotel was completely unacceptable. The front desk agent—Jessica, as I understand her name to be—was entirely absent for at least 15 minutes on two separate occasions. Both times I finally found her, she was either on her personal phone or in the breakfast area chatting with another employee instead of doing her job. I should never have to go searching for staff just to receive basic service. What made this even more appalling was the attitude I received from both of them. Their dismissive, irritated demeanor made it clear they felt I was interrupting their personal time, which is outrageous considering they were on the clock. This level of disrespect and unprofessionalism is absolutely disgraceful. This experience ruined my entire stay. I will never return to this property, and I will strongly advise everyone I know to avoid it as well. No guest should ever be treated this way.

My husband and I stayed at this location for a week and we absolutely loved it. Although a bit noisy, service was great, especially the employee James during breakfast time. He went above and beyond and breakfast was great. Very attentive and nice. Location was also nice with everything being close by.

As someone who works in a hotel, I find myself looking at hotel stays a little differently these day. with that being said, the condition of this hotel is wonderful, the rooms are in excellent shape and the Linens all appear to be clean. the staff is excellent and accommodating. I will always use this for my trips up north ?

DO NOT STAY OR BOOK HERE!!!! I'm still dealing with this and it's been nearly a week. Last month, I booked a room for my wife and stepson. I thought I was calling the front desk, but I was robo-directed to Expedia without my knowledge. Fast forward to last Friday when they were supposed to check in. After a long, stressful day, they went to check in. Not only was the pool out of commission, but the room wasn't ready. They were allowed to use the pool at the Hilton across the highway, but as of 7:00 PM, the room was not ready, as was the case for other guests. They were generously invited to stretch out in the lobby while they waited. Finally, they gave up and stayed at the Hilton. Since then, I have been trying to get a refund. This is a non stop of customer service runaround. First I was referred to Expedia, who said they had no record. As a rewards member, I reached out to IHG, and they have been giving me the runaround as well. As I type this, I am still on hold, saying they will reach out to the Gaylord management, but nothing. Update as I write this, I was told by customer service that the Gaylord HIE staff will reach out to me for the refund. They also told me the same thing two days ago. Customer service just told me they are trying to call the hotel directly, but no one answers the phone! If there is an update to this saga, I will post it, but don't hold your breath. For now, save yourself a lot of aggravation, and stay anywhere else. UPDATE- After a frustrating week dealing with customer service, I'm still screwed. Customer Service said the Gaylord management contacted me and made restitution. They did not! When I said management is lying, I was told by Customer Service that it's not their problem. So, Holiday Inn Group, you can....there is so much to say, but I will keep it family friendly. You lost a long time customer.

Came here for a one night stay for a work event. Staff seemed nice during check in. After checking out in the early morning for work I discovered I forgot my wallet in my room. (Air tag helps) After I got out of work I went to check in with the hotel and see if my wallet had been turned in or not. Crystal (Assistant manager could be spelled wrong) was behind the desk and I asked about the wallet. They didn’t have it turned in but she went to check the room, she came back to the lobby with my wallet however all of my cash had been taken out. I addressed this with her and they had me fill out an incident report. I hope this is followed up on and not brushed under the rug. Manager (didn’t get her name) did an audit on the hotel keys and she informed me that no body had been in my room since I left that morning. (Geez wonder where it went…) I just got paid cash for driving around the state for work and had over $300 in my wallet the night before. I filed a police repot, once he completed his check he informed me they were having corporate send video to be reviewed. He did mention that he had caught the staff lying about an undisclosed incident. So overall shady environment and wouldn’t recommend staying here. I’ll be sharing this experience with the company I work with, so we hopefully no longer use this hotel for over night stays. I wouldn’t forget your stuff here probably would wind up “missing”……

I’ve stayed at a lot of holiday inn’s and this was definitely the best one yet! You can tell the operators and staff take pride in their product. Newly built, clean, comfy bed, constant fan option on the thermostat. Breakfast was really well put together, they had bonus items like hot sauce and everything bagel seasoning for on top of my hard boiled eggs. Thank you guys for going the extra mile in a cookie cutter world.
